Philipp Graf (*1992) is a research assistant at the Chair of the Old Testament at the TU Dortmund University. His research focuses on the Book of Joshua, prophecy in the Old Testament, the hermeneutics of the canon and the methods of exegesis. In his dissertation he analyzes the different social roles of Joshua and Israel, especially in Josh 12–14. Philipp Graf studied Catholic theology and Latin philology at the University of Freiburg from 2013 to 2018, including a theological academic year (“Theologisches Studienjahr”) at Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem. He is a research assistant at TU Dortmund since 2018.
